Tamaques Park boasts 18 picnic areas. It's a popular park for good reason, with:

There are 2 county parks that border Westfield and have picnic areas:

Echo Lake Park

Unami Park
Echo Lake Park is sandwiched between Westfield and Mountainside, and can be accessed from Route 22 or Springfield Avenue. In addition to 3 picnic areas, there are paddle boats and a dog park to check out, along with a playground.
Unami Park is surrounded by Westfield, Cranford, and Garwood. There's one picnic area there, with a nice playground. It's a great place for sports, with tennis courts, a basketball court, a volleyball net, and baseball and soccer fields.
If you’ve reserved a picnic area, you probably don’t need tables and chairs, but we can still help!
Provide your guests with protection from the elements with our tents or add some excitement to your gathering with our games: Giant Beer Pong and Cornhole.
To use the picnic areas in any Union County park, you must reserve the date and follow the relevant guidelines.
Local Caterers
We'll deliver most of what you need for a great party, but we don't do food. You may be making all of the yummies yourself, but if you're not, here are some Westfield restaurants that have catering menus.
Ferraro's
Ferraro's is an Italian restaurant that has been a Westfield staple since 1969 and offers a wide variety of food options, from sandwich platters to lobster.
Northside Kitchen
Northside Kitchen has a wide array of dishes on their catering menu, but specialize in Mexican and Tex-Mex food, like chimichangas, tacos, fajitas, and enchiladas.
Farinolio
Love finger foods and desserts? Farinolio may be the caterer for you. Their catering menu includes Italian specialty sandwiches, antipasto trays, and Italian pastries.
