Between municipal and county parks, there are many outdoor recreational areas in Linden.
Linden boasts more than 30 parks, and 4 of them include picnic areas: Memorial Park, Al Kalla Park, St. Marks Park, and James Iozzi Memorial Park. Reservations are required to use the picnic areas.
Located between Wood Avenue and Lower Road in the 7th Ward, Memorial Park offers ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, ice skating, and handball courts. There's also a playground for the kids.
Al Kalla Park has a soccer field, basketball courts, a paved play area, and a playground. It's on Wickersham Avenue in the 10th Ward.
St. Marks Park is on Hussa Street in the 8th Ward. In addition to the picnic area, there's a ball field, basketball courts, a handball court, and a playground.
The James Iozzi Memorial Park, also known as Peach Orchard Park, is on Dill Avenue in the 5th Ward.

Wheeler Park is easy to get to, sandwiched between S. Stiles Street and S. Wood Avenue, alongside W. Edgar Road. There's a picnic area there, beside a spray park that's a blast for kids during the summer.
The park also has soccer and baseball fields and a playground.
The picnic areas of Union County parks usually already have tables and seating. However, we can still help with tents and outdoor games, like cornhole.
To use the picnic areas in any Union County park, you must reserve the date and follow the relevant guidelines.
We'll deliver most of what you need for a great party, but you'll have to supply the eats. Here are some local restaurants that offer catering.
